Teacher's Day '08

Today was our school's Teacher's Day. (Or, is it spelled as Teachers' Day?)

IT WAS AWESOME. (Although I got really sleepy at the end.)

What can I say? For the whole of it, it was REALLY AWESOME, not just for a fact that we didn't have any lessons for the day, but it was a memorable one.

But anyway, before the day started, we had a trisectional mass (you find out what that means) together with II-Iligan and Laoag. Our mass presider was our school president, Mnsgr. Gerardo Santos. The reading and the gospel was about friendship; the reading was about the friendship between enemies and the gospel was about the friendship of Jesus to the people. Well, I guess that was it. Then, we also participated actively there, thanks to the Sisters, our principal, and of course, Mr. Cruz (the choir adviser or whatever his position is).

So, after the mass, the official Teacher's Day started in our section. What's special about is that the officers organized a program for every subject (and that was the reason why we didn't have any lessons XD).

It was really memorable for me because our adviser gave the memorable speech of the day. When she was crying, I also wanted to cry, but I didn't gave it all, because I don't want to cry. LOL.

So yeah, the whole day was GREAT and MEMORABLE. It was the best day :)

Sorry, I don't want to explain the whole stuff XD...And, I didn't brought my camera too, so, 'till then.

The CANCELED INTRAMS will be continued this January 31, 2008. Well, I won't play any game, LOL.

And after a week, I'm back for blogging.

A lot has happen, like what I always say. Most of them are new to me though, but, I think I won't have any "reflection" for them again.

Only three months to go before the end of the world school year. Actually, the school year won't end this coming March because they say that we would still use the first week of April. (ps. RIP for the person who is also named April who died because of dengue [a friend of my best friend's cousin, but I guess she's also a friend...although I DON'T KNOW HER PERSONALLY or whatever it is.)

I guess that would be it. A lot of new things happened after many days of living in the world in the year 2008...and a lot of new things that will happen after these days.

But, before I start, I shall greet the reader...

Happy New Year~! :)

The year 2007 just ended last night, and it was the first time in our family that we didn't have any fireworks lighted. But, even though we didn't have those lusis and those kwitis, we still had fun watching different fireworks on our rooftop, and yes, there were too many of them.

I really don't know why the Filipinos are fond of lighting fireworks. They say its a tradition to warn the bad spirits away and that tradition came from the Chinese. But, what I'm really asking is, why do we light fireworks and hurt ourselves? Every year, in this country of ours, there's a hundred of people going to the hospital during the Holiday Season because of fireworks. You call that a long time tradition? A tradition...should be professionalized now, right? And with that tradition, we shouldn't have any injuries regarding those things now.

Well, I guess that's WHAT we Filipinos are. But, even if we put up fireworks and wish that the bad things would go away, we should also change ourselves. And, by changing ourselves, we can help our country be one 'nation' again.

Oh, and, I'm not thinking of making my own New Year's Resolution again. Haha. Well, I guess I have some, but, I would only bear it on my mind starting today :)

"Another year, another fear. Here's my cheer to the New Year."
