Exposure.

Current LSS: Lead Me Lord - Gary Valenciano. I really don't know why, but, I just loved it after our teacher let us listened to it. Its a great song though...A really great song.

We had our exposure today.

Sadly, I didn't bring my camera. Our adviser might confiscate it because the officers inspected our bags. You know our officers, they really give those kind of stuffs to the teacher if they were expected. Stupid right?

But anyway, so like what I said, we had our exposure today. Some of you may know it while others don't. An exposure is the same way as the "outreach", or should I say, its one of the parts of an outreach. More likely the Soup Kitchen, but here, you can interview the families and help them with their house chores.

We went to Brgy. Sumilang, which can took us about 10-15 minutes to walk since it's quite near to our school. We went inside their chapel first, then someone from Sumilang [she's part of the Barangay Hall or whatever her job is there XD] told a short history about their town. After it, we went to the place where we are going to do our exposure. Every time we stop by a house, most of my classmates would go at the end of the line [especially when we were only a few] since they don't want to be first and they don't want to be located in a very poor family. I mean, we all did think of that all of the families are poor there. But, when it was our [my best friend and I] turn, we were surprised by the house we went in. The house was nice, they have a TV [in which the owner or Kuya Allen told us that they had a cable connection before :P], a kitchen, a CR, the floor are composed of tiles, and a second floor. They're not that poor, but I can say they have a normal living. We fold their clothes first, then, after folding them, my best friend started interviewing him. Nagulat nga ako kasi hindi ko naman ineexpect na magsasalita siya at magtatanong.

So, Kuya Allen talked about his family. He has two kids, a girl who is five and a boy who is four. His wife passed away already [he told me that], and when he said that, I was amazed because he took care of his kids. Not all fathers will do that right? Some fathers/husbands even leave their wives even if she's still alive. But anyway, I'll stop talking about that. There's this woman whom I thought it was his wife, but he said it was a wife of his brother. And, he also told us that some Povedans went there already. Haha, how I wished we had the same schedule as them since I do want to meet one. I know one Povedan, but, she doesn't really speak about it.Then after that, we did nothing, but just sat there and watch Pokemon in GMA [because they had already disconnected their cable connection since the shows are only repeating themselves, and it also makes you spend MORE money]. I have another story to share, when we were still walking, I can see lots of houses tuned in GMA. So from watching, we asked Kuya Allen if a lot of families are Kapusos, and he said yes. Then, when his children came home after playing outside, we decided to play with them outside [since they went outside again], and their, we can see some of our classmates in which is near us. Some of them were doing nothing, some of them were buying foods in the nearby store, and some even took their "children" bath. My best friend kept on telling me on how she wished we wash our "children", well, it would be fun...If I brought the camera. Our adviser and Sister Merly checked on each of us, so they also went to ours too. Ms. Velarde [adviser] even took a stolen picture of us. Then, we just talked with the kids, my best friend taught them, while I wrote a reminder of the different informations of the family.

When the clock struck eleven, as the children were already eating, our classmates called us. We said goodbye and thanks to them, got out the house, then I suddenly remembered that we should give the "goods" to the family. We went there again then gave them the goods. That was the last time we saw them. [No, actually, that was the last time we saw Kuya Allen, we even saw his children outside and the girl waved goodbye to us. So, that was the last time we saw them.] We walked back to our school again, to eat lunch, and have the evaluation on the exposure on our classroom. After three hours in staying in school, we finally went home.

This exposure's probably the best even happened this year. Then, after seven days, we would go to an outbound in Morong, Rizal. Don't know if it is far as Pampanga, but my Mom said its far.

That's all for today~!
